Perseus Mining is seeking an experienced Underground Technical Services Superintendent to join the team at our CMA Underground Operation in Côte d’Ivoire.
Reporting to the Underground Manager, this key role will provide technical oversight and planning support, ensuring industry best practices and continuous optimisation of the underground plan and schedule.
- Lead safety, environment, and community relations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and participating in underground incident investigations.
- Provide strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the technical services team.
- Responsible for the PMY UG design and planning to bring the FS into successful execution.
- Oversight, ownership and strategic contributions to weekly, monthly, and long-term planning
- Assist in identifying, reporting and making recommendations on Critical paths, bottlenecks and key milestones.
- 7+ years of Underground Hard Rock experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Strong competency in Deswik.
- Expertise in longhole open stoping.
- Proven ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and mentor team members.
Desirable
- Experience in West Africa.
- French language skills.
- Proficiency in Pronto.
Located within West Africa, Côte d’Ivoire, Yaouré Gold Mine is Perseus’s third operation, commencing production in December 2020. Achieving Commercial Production in March 2021, Yaouré’s operational life was extended to at least 2035 in September 2023. The mine is anticipated to yield approximately 210,000 ounces of gold annually over the next five years, with an average AISC of approximately US$1,104
