The Role

Perseus Mining is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Change Lead to manage and coordinate technology change requests within our business. 

Reporting to the Group Technology Manager, the Technical Change Lead will play a pivotal role in facilitating change control, conducting post-implementation reviews, performing risk assessments, maintaining technology risk registers, providing training and support   on how to effectively use technical systems and the development of technical documentation.

• Review and assess change requests submitted by stakeholders, determining the scope, impact, risks, and resource requirements of proposed changes.
• Oversee execution of approved changes, ensuring adherence to change management procedures and documentation, and coordinating resources to complete changes within scheduled maintenance windows.
• Conduct risk assessments to evaluate the potential impact of proposed changes, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Communicate change plans, timelines, impacts to relevant stakeholders, manage stakeholder expectations, and address concerns.
• Develop, update, maintain clear, concise, and accurate documentation, including Standards, Procedures, User Manuals, and Training Materials, while following established style guides and working with in-country teams or external vendors to translate technical documentation.

About You

With excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt and engage effectively across diverse stakeholders and cultures, our ideal candidate will:

• Proven experience in change management and technical writing
• Experience in managing change initiatives across multiple projects.
• Demonstrated experience working with a ticket management platform.
• Exhibit strong time management and documentation skills.
• Show proficiency in reports development and Microsoft Power BI.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Visio.

It would be beneficial if you have: 

• French language skills.
• Previous experience working on projects with Africa.
• Risk management experience.
• Project management experience.
• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.

Where you’ll be working

This position is based in Perseus’s Subiaco office, with a corporate team of roughly 40 employees and growing. You’ll join a small corporate team, allowing for close interactions across all departments and levels of the business.
