The Role

Perseus is seeking an experienced and strategic Manager Business Improvement to lead and shape our business improvement function. Reporting to the General Manager Operations, this high-impact role will be responsible for driving a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and cost efficiency across the operations.

As a senior leader, you will take ownership of business improvement initiatives, guiding a team of specialists while engaging with executive and operational leaders to embed sustainable improvements. Your expertise in designing and executing business improvement frameworks will be critical in optimising processes, enhancing performance, and delivering measurable value to the organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business improvement strategy aligned with organisational goals.
  • Design, implement, and continuously enhance frameworks, standards, and procedures for the Management Operating System (MOS), Business Improvement process, and Continuous Improvement process.
  • Inspire, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of business improvement specialists to drive transformational change.
  • Identify, develop, and oversee key business improvement initiatives that drive efficiency, enhance safety, and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with general managers and operational leaders to instill a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of the business.
  • Champion and embed change management principles, ensuring smooth adoption and sustainable outcomes for business improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure robust financial models are in place to quantify cost savings, validate value creation, and track project performance.
About you
  • Proven experience in a senior business improvement, operational excellence, or continuous improvement leadership role.
  • Exceptional  leadership skills with the ability to influence, mentor, and drive performance across diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated success in leading high-impact improvement initiatives and delivering measurable business value.
  • Strong analytical mindset with expertise in financial modelling, data-driven decision-making, and process optimisation.
  • Strong background in Lean, Six Sigma, and Change Management methodologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated change management expertise and the ability to drive organisational change.

Desirable

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. engineering, science, or business).
  • French language skills
Where you’ll be working

This position is based in Perseus’s Subiaco office, with a corporate team of roughly 40 employees and growing. You’ll join a small corporate team, allowing for close interactions across all departments and levels of the business.

This role supports our operations across Africa and involves traveling to the region.
