Electrical and Instrumentation Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Manager to lead the operations and management of electrical and instrumentation systems at our Nyanzaga greenfields project, located in Tanzania, East Africa.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with extensive industrial experience, a strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations, and a proven track record of managing complex electrical and instrumentation systems. Experience working in Africa or other remote and challenging environments is essential.
- Lead and manage a team of technicians and contractors to deliver electrical and instrumentation projects effectively.
- Develop and oversee project scopes, specifications, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Review and approve technical documents, including design drawings, calculations, and reports.
- Procure and manage equipment, materials, and services, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and tests to ensure the successful installation and operation of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing expert guidance to the team as needed.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations governing electrical and instrumentation activities.
- Maintain safety standards during the performance of duties, including the operation and maintenance of tools and equipment used in electrical and instrumentation work.
- 15+ years of industrial electrical experience.
- Expertise in electrical engineering principles, instrumentation technology, and control systems.
- Proven ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects to ensure completion on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information clearly to all stakeholders.
- Proven track record in managing electrical and instrumentation projects in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Familiarity with international electrical codes and standards.
Qualifications & Licenses
- Qualified A Grade Electrical License.
- Valid international driving license.
- High Voltage Switching Ticket.
Desirable
- Knowledge of energy management systems and sustainable practices.
This role is based at our Nyanzaga Gold Project in Tanzania on a 6 weeks on, 3 week off roster.
